Three new stoves this winter, from Contura and Chesney's

New to our line-up this winter are: the Chesney's 8-series 6kW woodburner. Forget the confusing name; this is a superlative stove for the customer who needs a substantial-looking stove, perhaps for a large fireplace, but with a modest heat-output. This Chesney is rated at 6kW, is highly efficient and specified beyond the highest Ecodesign criteria. Clearances to combustibles are an extraordinary 150mm to the rear, 250mm to the side and 300mm above, which means it might even be compatible with a suitably large wooden fire surround.Chensney's 8-series 6kW woodburner alight in our showroom

The Contura 620 is a different beast, with all the advantages of their range of free-standing models, but at 86%, the most efficient stove in their stable, putting out up to 9kW; we can't believe how little fuel it consumes!Contura 620 wood burning stove alight in our showroom

And the Contura 310, for those who prefer square to round. Up to 9kW, with a half-metre door and huge panoramic aspect, this is a stylish, modern piece of design which will deliver palpable heat where you need it. The 310 has an integral log store underneath, with additional modular options like the vertical store shown here on our showroom model. Contura 310 wood burning stove in our showroom
